I'm glad I didn't try to plan a project, because the down time left room to read and go to the gym.

I went to the gym twice in July, once in August, and once in September, so going tonight was a big deal.

Lifting weights is very therapeutic for me, so when I get into a habit of avoiding the gym, it's a pretty strong downward spiral.



What ultimately happened is that life circumstances forced me to make a career decision, and even though I haven't done much in the way of studying for a new job, just the thought that my future might not be dismal gave me enough hope to care.

This has quickly pushed me to consider "now, what?" questions, like what am I going to do with myself *after* I get my life together? What am I really living for, anyway? I think these are worthy of serious consideration.
