Apple was 100% right to hide the file system on iOS.
Building a mental model of the file system hierarchy is the #1 task my coworkers struggle with.
@kai I found it disappointing they gave into adding a file manager app
I was hoping they would come up with a better/alternative model for data beyond silos; perhaps tagging?
@calvin @kai IIRC, Newton OS basically just let any application that wanted to handle a certain type of information access the soup for that information, and then just offered categorization on top of that.
