Big happy birthday to @fry! I miss you!
The biggest problem running the file server in an LXD container this is that the data must be encypted at rest.
That means if I'm in the hospital and the server is rebooted, someone with no technical expertise must mount the encrypted drive and then start the lxd service.
If I run the server on bare metal, all someone would have to do is log in to the gui and decrypt the drive using the gui.
I was going to set up another bare metal file server at the office, but schlepping LXD containers around is so easy that I'm tempted to containerize the file server…at risk of making the system overly complicated for someone other than me to administer.
"Trump has such a larger-than-life personality and is so skilled at pushing people’s buttons that following a speech full of reality show antics (a live medal presentation to Rush Limbaugh!) with an earnest discussion of why his paid family leave plan is grossly inadequate compared to Democrats’ plans for leave and a child allowance ends up seeming gray and sad."

Unless you delegate specific permissions, what is the point of sudo? I've never met someone who has sudo set to only allow certain commands.
Considering sudo introduces even more attack surface, why not just use su when necessary?
It appears the Iowa Democratic Party didn't release the app to users until hours beforehand, to "limit exposure".
That's basically a case of security by obfuscation. And we know how well that works. This could go down in textbooks as an example.
Also, it wasn't available in official Google or Apple repositories, so users had to turn off security features, again to "reduce exposure". and many users were understandably concerned about this.
I'll go first!
* I enjoyed my hallway conversations a lot and they were what I liked the most.
* I was quite surprised by that FOSDEM video box when I arrived at the front of the room to give my talk. I almost stopped giving my talk to ask questions about it.
* I'm quite excited about the Reform MNT laptop. I met the author on a moss funding convo and got to see it for real, it was really nice.
you'd have to already be really strong to do these exercises 😅
